My name is Melissa George and I live on a dairy farm in Martinborough with my husband Daniel and my two children Nate who is two years old and Zoe who is seven months old.   Oh and also 500 cows, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a few sheep!

We moved to Martinborough a little over four years ago from Wanganui where I was born and grew up with my parents and two brothers.  Following my passion for working with children I left home to go to Palmerston North Teachers’ College and gained a Bachelor of Education in the Early Years and succeeded in my goal of becoming a teacher.  Since completing my degree I have worked in two childcare centres and thoroughly enjoyed the fun and exciting challenges working with children can bring. 

An opportunity arose for me to continue my passion for working with children by joining the PAUA team as a Visiting Teacher and I look forward to this exciting venture and the opportunities it may present.
