Achieving
PAUA Early Childhood Home Based Care Service started out of a belief that children are “Ā tātou taonga mo āpopo - our Treasures for Tomorrow”. Therefore we need to “educate our children according to their life requirements so when they’re old they won’t be lost.”
When we started PAUA we wanted:
- A service that would reflect our beliefs, values and philosophies.
- A service that was focused on your children – one that would provide them with quality resources to aid their unique educational development.
- For our Educators to receive support through Visiting Teacher visits, provision of resources, playgroups, seminars and further educational opportunities.
- For you as parents to be given photographic reports of your child’s progress, as well as the opportunity to attend information evenings etc.
Since PAUA’s birth in 2003 our team has grown. You can meet our team here.
In July 2005 we had our first ERO (Education Review Office) report. You can read it on the ERO website at this link: Education Review Office
Newsletters have appeared at regular intervals over the past years, usually accompanied by the Parenting or Grapevine Magazine. 2006 saw the start of our colour newsletters, you can read them here. |
