I’m Michelle and I have just joined the PAUA team! I am the visiting teacher in Masterton. Working for PAUA is a very exciting opportunity as I believe that if children are in a home learning environment they are in essence at home.
I have worked in early childhood for 18 years and have completed two lots of training. Last year was one to celebrate for myself and my family as I graduated with a Diploma of Teaching. I have worked across the sector from early childhood to primary and in a range of settings. This year I look forward to starting study again because I will gain my degree.
Having lived here in Masterton most of my life I believe that it is a wonderful place to bring up our family. Our five girls aged from 16 – 5, son who is two, husband Joe and I enjoy living on a farm a few kilometres from town. We have a pretty busy household where having extra children around is not uncommon.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends; catching up over a coffee or a shared tea are two of my favourite things to do. I can often be found at the netball courts supporting, playing, coaching or umpiring. As a family we love to go camping (weather dependant as not much fun in the rain), to the beach or river.
